Why we built it
Built for the 3:00am trace
Financial crime doesn’t keep business hours. Investigators run attribution on a watch rotation, and compliance analysts clear alert queues against filing deadlines. Defense and intelligence analysts work in rooms that are dim on purpose.
A bright interface is fine for twenty minutes. It’s a different thing across a ten-hour shift spent reading transaction graphs, where every node, edge and label competes for the same attention.
Dark Mode will not make you a better investigator, but it will make you look cooler while you investigate. And it’s easier on the eyes.
The Moon turns dark red tonight because Earth’s atmosphere bends what little light gets through.
Ours is a simpler mechanism. You pick it in a menu.

UTC times fall on August 28. ET and PT times cross midnight, so the eclipse begins on the evening of August 27 across the Americas. On the West Coast the Moon rises during the early partial phase, so the first minutes may sit below your horizon. How to switch
The sun and moon in the navbar
There’s a sun and moon icon in the top navigation bar. Click it to flip between light and dark from wherever you are, without opening settings or reloading. Click it again to flip back.
Or set it once in your profile
Step one
Open your profile menu in the top right of the TRM platform.
Step two
Select Appearance.
Step three
Choose Dark. It applies immediately, and it follows your account to every device you sign in from.
No admin toggle, no rollout window, no waiting on orbital geometry.
Tonight
Go look up. It’ll still be dark in here when you get back.
Peak is 04:13 UTC, and the eclipse gives the disc back by morning. Your setting stays where you put it.
