Sujit Raman is a globally recognized executive and thought leader with over two decades of experience at the intersection of law, technology, economic and national security, and privacy/cybersecurity.

As TRM’s Chief Legal Officer, Sujit manages the company’s legal affairs around the world, across the range of commercial, regulatory, corporate governance, and transactional matters. He also counsels TRM’s senior executives and Board, and helps drive the company’s strategy, vision, and business goals.

Before joining TRM, Sujit was a partner at a leading international law firm and served for over a decade at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), including as the U.S. Associate Deputy Attorney General responsible for cyber-related criminal and national security investigations and prosecutions. In this role, he personally advised the U.S. Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General on emerging technology matters, represented the Department before the White House's National Security Council, and testified before the U.S. Senate and the U.S. Cyberspace Solarium Commission on the nation's cyber priorities.

Sujit also was a principal drafter of landmark legislation governing cross-border access to electronic evidence, and represented the United States in high-profile data-sharing negotiations with the United Kingdom, Australia, and the European Union. Named by The National Law Journal as the most impactful General Counsel in America (2025), he brings to TRM a wealth of expertise in data privacy, national security, and cybercrime prevention.
