Students who complete this course should be able to:
- Read and trace Ethereum transactions across a variety of transfer types
- Understand how NFT transactions work, follow the flow of funds to establish who purchased and who sold, and identify where NFT media is hosted
- Trace funds through deterministic and probabilistic bridges and cross-chain swaps
- Apply Ethereum tracing principles across EVM-compatible chains, TRON and Solana
- Read and analyze smart contracts and explain their core functions, such as mint, approve, transfer and swap
- Analyze DeFi activity including staking, liquidity provision and yield farming
- Explain how account abstraction and the Pectra upgrade change the structure of a transaction, and identify the true sender behind a paymaster-funded transaction
